I stumbled across this site the other day… well actually a long time ago, but just the other day I found it again because of a link for a free online ruby course. Figured ‘what the hell’ I’ve got nothing to lose. So it starts in the second week of January right before I start my other ‘brick and mortar’ courses. We will have to see how that goes. I am excited though. It is nice to see that he has a defined course outline and suggested timeline for getting things done. In the past I have taken an online course but it didn’t turn out well just due to me not being that disciplined.
The course begins on January 7th and goes through April 27th. Go sign up now as I believe there are limited spots.
So I’ve decided to go back to school. Yeah, yeah I know…big deal right? Well it is for me! I haven’t been to school in almost ten years. Yikes, it still sounds weird to say that. Anyway, I’m going to take some classes at night and hope to eventually get a degree. Elgin Community College is where I decided to go. They have limited classes in what I was looking for but it will do to start. So far I really like it. Business and Database Programming are what I am enrolled in. Both classes so far seem to be on the easier side but time will tell as it was only the first week.
