REST is keeping me on my toes

I’ve been getting back into Rails lately now that school is over and with the new 2.0 release there has been quite a few changes. The biggest change for me is the whole REST thing. The concept doesn’t seem that hard for me, it’s the dang coding that is getting me hung up. Using the scaffold has let me see what rails generated code would look like, so that’s cool. My problem seems to be in that my controller is nested in a module for the admin section.

To get me started I checked out the fantastic Peepcode episode on RESTful Rails and really hit it home with a screencast on The Future of Web Services from the guys over at Rails Envy.

Even though I have now gained a great working knowledge of REST… I still am having trouble with my damn admin section. Maybe if anyone is out there reading this, you can post in the comments what I could be doing wrong. I know it has something to do with my path.

UPDATE:(12/19/2007) I came across this video that claims to be the ‘First Rails 2.0 Screencast‘.  I don’t know about that… but it’s full of good information anyway.  He is Brazilian and apologizes for his English (I didn’t have any trouble understanding him), but he does speak waaay to fast.  Luckily he must have gotten some comments about that so he’s posted tutorials of the screencast as well.  They are in two parts: Part 1, Part2.
